Thorncrown Chapel was designed by E. Fay Jones and constructed in 1980. The design recalls the Prairie style of architecture, popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright, with whom Jones apprenticed. It was commissioned by retired school teacher Jim Reed, as he obeyed what he thought God was calling him to do. It has won numerous awards, and is #4 on the AIA's top designs of the 20th century!
